Edgar Mitchell's Emails Edgar Mitchell Weighs in on the Admiral Wilson’s 2008 Denial: “Sounds like he has joined the other side.” PROLOGUE Discussions about “The Wilson/Davis Leak” are again very popular across the social media groups dealing with UFOs. 15-page document revolves around the 2002 meeting notes in Las Vegas between Dr. Eric W. Davis and Thomas R. Wilson. Notes were allegedly written by Dr. Davis after the fact. Discussed topic: Pentagon briefing from April 1997 where Rear Admiral Thomas Ray Wilson (at that time the Vice Director of Intelligence for the Joint Chiefs of Staff, later promoted to Vice Admiral and Director of DIA), met with Apollo 14 astronaut Edgar Mitchell, Commander Willard Miller (ret.) and activist Steven Greer. As claimed, Admiral Wilson was briefed by them about hidden UFO programs. After the briefing, he allegedly located UFO SAP (Special Access Program), but the contractor and higher Pentagon authorities denied him full access that he believed his position warranted. The document leaked back in April 2019 over image sharing platform Imgur and was linked via two Reddit communities. Besides Davis’ notes, it also contains attached letter from CDR Will Miller. Latest debates about the document’s authenticity were ignited thanks to June 15, 2020 article by Billy Cox and Joe Murgia’s investigative series about the affair. For a deeper insight into involved parties and events, readers are encouraged to read Joe’s series before this companion piece.

The Wilson Leak and the NIDS Connection Prologue In April 1997, Rear Admiral Thomas Ray Wilson met with Apollo 14 astronaut Edgar Mitchell, Commander Willard Miller (ret.) and activist Steven Greer in the Pentagon. The topic of the meeting: hidden UFO programs. Wilson supposedly later located UFO SAP (Special Access Program), but the contractor and higher Pentagon authorities denied him full access that he believed his position warranted. Related "The Wilson/Davis Leak” represents a 15-page document of the alleged 2002 notes from the Las Vegas meeting between Dr. Eric W. Davis and Thomas R. Wilson. Notes were allegedly written by Dr. Davis after the fact. Discussed topic: details of Wilson's 1997 search for the hidden UFO SAP. The document leaked back in April 2019 over the image sharing platform Imgur. Dr. Davis has issued "no comment" statement regarding the leak, while Admiral Wilson is denying that 2002 meeting ever happened. June 2020 I detected following segment on June 19, 2020. Investigative Las Vegas reporter George Knapp gave public statement on the Wilson Leak during the Mystery Wire podcast. Relevant transcript is below. Source: https://www.mysterywire.com/mysteries/mystery-wire-podcast-dod-e-mails-a-new-government-ufo-program-wilson-davis-document-and-much-more/ Dick D’Amato’s Official Position on UFO Crashes Article also mirrored over The UFO Chronicles https://www.theufochronicles.com/2020/05/senate-staffer-dick-damatos-ufo-statement.html Recently, I discovered Dick D’Amato’s current official position on UFO Crashes. He was a senior US Senate staffer, who met numerous UFO researchers on the matter back in 1990s. According to archive.org recording, the statement is present on his official website at least from 2013. It reads in full below. --- start of quote --- 1980'S INQUIRY INTO UNIDENTIFIED AERIAL CRASH IN NEW MEXICO “In the 1980's and 1990's, I served on the staff of the Senate Democratic Leader, Senator Robert C. Byrd, and my responsibilities involved helping manage the budgets of the Department of Defense and the National Foreign Intelligence Program. My duties included responding to a Senators and committees request for information, analysis, and legislation on a variety of national security issues. In this context, a senior Senate Committee chairman asked me to conduct a preliminary inquiry into allegations that came to his attention regarding unidentified aerial crashes in the 1940's in New Mexico. I met with a number of people who had made public statements on the matter. I reported my conclusion to the Senator that the basis for such allegations did not appear to merit any further Senate investigation. Beyond this inquiry on behalf of the Senator, I have no personal opinion on the matter and consider the inquiry to have been closed for over 20 years.” --- end of quote --- Screenshots included. I often hear claims based on the DoD statement how the Pentagon’s UFO program AATIP - Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program - exclusively ended in 2012. However, there are also fair objections from those who were involved with the program. Even the original NYT article referenced other sources claiming "while the Pentagon ended funding for the effort at that time, the program remains in existence”.
On top of that, if the program really ended in 2012, it would not make sense for two AATIP videos (Gimbal and Go Fast) - originally released in the NYT and Washington Post - to be part of the research effort since those incidents happened three years later (in 2015). Those two videos fit better with the active post-2012 AATIP period, which means data were still collected during the 2015 time frame. Additionally, letter of resignation of former AATIP point main Luis Elizondo (referenced in the original NYT article), deals with obstacles and opposition up to that point (October 2017). Of course, these counterpoints will not settle the debate for everyone, but it is equally fair to present them. Exclusive 60 minute interview coming this week that I did for Croatian Television on January 15th 2018. Currently in editing mode. Teaser picture will tell you all 🤔 Stay tuned for the uncut version that I will release. The best way to spend Sunday night :) Last night I did a new special episode of Uforadio-International where I have covered 1967 Radar-Visual-ECM UFO Incident over Southern Florida with 2 special guests. This photo on the left was done after the interview. Maps and 10 pages of notes at the desk :) Episode will be released somewhere in the next 2-4 weeks. More to come! Only on OmniTalkRadio! |
